Context
In 2019 users didn’t have a way of safely making personalised payment links for specific events or groups of people. They would resort to sending individual payment requests from a bank account. This was far from ideal as it ended up being added to your personal account.

Problem
At the time we collected feedback from users thru bunq Together, an online forum for all bunq users to share their wishes and pains.
Findings
Personalised links arent always for personal use
Users wanted to collect money from groups of peoeple or as part of initiatives meaning they wanted to keep these transactions separate from their personal account for recollection
More reach in less clicks
Nobody likes having to send multiple payment requests only to find out they’ve already expired by the time you use them.
Customisation
Some level of customisation was needed to differentiate personalised links from others
Designs
bunq.me allows users to create and share a personalized URL with anyone who wants to send you money. These unique URLs can be used to collect money for different purposes, a vintage sale, donations, or bake sale.
You can also prefill the amount by sending them to bunq.me/eva/50 (for €50). They can pay by bank transfer, via Apple Pay, Google Pay, IDEAL, Instant Bank Transfer, and even with their credit card!
